The following books have proven very reliable sources. This list is not all inclusive and we welcome other sources such as published family history books and magazine articles, especially from Maryland Historical Magazine or the National Genealogical Quarterly.

Maryland Genealogies.  This two-volume set is a consolidation of article from the Maryland Historical Magazine and can be found on Ancestry.com

British Roots of Maryland Families is a two-volume set and can be found on Ancestry.com as well as in many libraries. 

The Early Settlers of Maryland by Gust Skordus, as well as Settler of Maryland by Peter Wilson Coldham

Maryland Calendar of Wills is a multi-volume set with several authors and is very useful in proving land ownership.

Colonial Families of the Eastern Shore of Maryland is a multi-volume set has been found very useful, as have many books written by Robert William Barnes, Henry Peden, and F. Edward Wright.
